3.24 Million Australians are living below the poverty line. Share the dignity and joy of access to vital supplies.
We provide relief from the poverty, sickness, suffering, misfortune, or helplessness experienced by so many across NSW.
Our Presents Program connects those in need with crucial supplies and life-enriching gifts. Both directly and through the organisations that support them. Made possible with the help of our generous sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
Supplies or gifts we redistrubte include new, gently used items, and or excess stock. Including baby clothes, books, toys, school, art & craft supplies, sporting equipment, games or gaming systems, musical instruments, and items of a similar nature.
This program is new and greatly underfunded, as such, we do not wish to get hopes up. Especially regarding the once-off budget. However, we will keep successful applications on file to contact when funds are available. With this in mind, successful applicants can only be approved for a once-a-year $100 budget. Alternatively, we can give you access to gently used, new and excess stock items that are donated by generous businesses and members of the public.
Successful applicants will be provided a Unique Identifying Number(UIN) and will be contacted when specific items relevant to their individual needs become available. Referred individuals can receive brand-new/gently used items throughout the year. These items include music/sports equipment, art/school supplies, toys (for all ages), and baby goods.
Our team then checks, washes donations in accordance with the World Health Organisations' recommendations, and stores them ready for rehoming. We then liaise with each organisation and referred person to find the right home for each unique gift.
To operate this program extensive administrative work, cleaning time, storage space, and passion are required. So a big “Thank you!” to our board members, volunteers, contributors, generous locals, and volunteer drop-off locations.
Get a representative from a registered organisation to complete the Referral Form. Once we have received a referral our team will review it, confirm it, and reach out with the next steps.
Once approved our team will provide Next Step instructions and guidelines for receiving the $100 budget and year-round access to donations. We will let you know whether or not there is sufficient funding for us to provide you with the $100 budget.
Additionally, we ask for shipping and GST costs of the online purchases to be included in the $100 total budget provided. We encourage people to provide us with links to their selected items. Our team then places the order for said items to be delivered directly to your address, POX Box, or another nominated address, or you can select our location and come pick them up. Our volunteers are doing their utmost to provide you and your family with as much support as we can. So please be patient with us if funding is not available.
Successful applicants can gain access to the physical gifts donated by locals and businesses throughout the year. This requires treating volunteers with respect and engaging in a non-aggressive manner. Moreover, our organisation can only hold onto so many items, thus the first individuals and organisations to pick up the donations get them.
Note: Only our Founding Director has access to personal information provided and only as it pertains to them completing their duties. Additionally, please review our Privacy Declaration, Management and Agreement in the Important Documents section.
All monetary donations are tax deductable.
A case/social/support worker, counsellor, shelter, or hospital representative needs to complete The Referral Form for you to gain access to The Presents Progam. Our team emails or calls the representative to ensure that they have referred the individual and to provide them with a Unique Identifying Number (UIN). Additionally, all applicants' and representatives' private information is kept secure in accordance with current state and national law, click here to review said document.
Successful applicants are contacted via email and provided a UIN and a form to complete so that we only notify them when relevant items become available. For instance, someone can select baby clothes, and kids' toys. Someone else might pick only want the $100. Each organisation and person's needs are different, and our team endeavors to provide support for this diverse range of needs. Please note that only one person from an address can be eligible for support.
